How long will my house purchase take?

How long it will take from your offer being accepted until you can move in to your house will depend on a number of factors. The average process takes between 7-12 weeks depending on complexity of the chain and if the property is vacant. Newbuilds can take longer if the development is still under construction and you have a reservation. Leaseholds can also take slightly longer than a standard freehold purchase.
